Assign bookings to rental items instantly using a QR code

RentAccent continues to innovate to make your rental process faster, more organized, and more professional. With our latest feature, you can now easily link a rentable item to a reservation upon customer arrival. This can be done via our mobile app or directly within the Booking Manager. This function is ideal for rental businesses working with multiple identical items, such as bikes, boats, or accommodations. You’ll always know exactly who has which item.
 

How does object linking work?

With this new feature, you can assign a specific item to a booking within seconds during customer check-in. Here’s how it works:
 

• Activate 'individual items'
  Go to Rentable Items in your account and enable the Individual Items option.
• Customer shows QR code
  The customer presents the personal QR code from their booking confirmation upon arrival.
• Scan the QR code
  Scan this code with your smartphone using the RentAccent app.
• Link the item
  Next, scan the specific item (e.g., a bike with QR sticker) or manually assign it in the Booking Manager (e.g., a room number or kayak).
• Done! The system instantly records which item is linked to the booking. You can also assign multiple items to one booking.

This makes the handover process quicker and automatically logs which item(s) are in use and by whom.

To make scanning easy, you can use our durable QR code stickers. RentAccent takes care of the entire process: generating the codes, printing them, and sending the stickers to you.

3. Professionally printed with a unique QR code

Prefer to make your own stickers? No problem. In the Booking Manager, you can easily download an Excel file with all rentable items and their QR codes—ready to send to your own printer.
