Choose your own payment methods and issue partial refunds

A good booking system does not stop at reservations: it should also give you control over payments, refunds, and the payment experience for your customers. That is why RentAccent has added two new features that give you even more control over your payment process: you can now decide which payment methods you offer and easily refund part of a payment.
 

Choose which payment methods you offer

Within RentAccent, you can connect your booking system to the payment provider Stripe. From now on, you have more control over which payment methods your customers can use during checkout. You can find these settings under 'Online payments' in your RentAccent account. Here you will see the most popular payment options displayed clearly, including recognizable logos. With a single click, you can enable or disable a payment method without having to open Stripe.

Why this is useful:

  • You decide whether to offer iDEAL, Bancontact, credit cards, or other payment methods
  • You can easily adapt to your target audience (for example tourists vs. local customers)
  • Only active payment methods will be displayed in the booking module


Please note: If you want to enable less common payment options, you can still do so through your Stripe dashboard. The integration remains fully flexible.

Additional benefit for your customer:
When completing a booking, the customer will automatically see the payment methods you accept at the bottom of the booking module — including their logos. This makes it immediately clear which payment options are available. If you do not offer online payments, these logos will automatically be hidden.
 

Refund part of a payment

Sometimes circumstances change after a booking. For example, a customer might call to say that an extra option (such as a child seat) is no longer needed. If that option has already been paid for, you naturally want to refund the amount quickly — without complicated steps. With the latest update in RentAccent, you can now refund part of the total payment amount. The process is simple:

How it works:

  • Go to Reservations and open the relevant booking.
  • Remove the item that needs to be canceled using the red trash icon.
  • An option will now automatically appear at the top to refund the overpaid amount.
  • With a single click, the amount will be refunded via the original payment method.


The refund is processed fully automatically through our payment provider Stripe. Depending on the customer’s bank, it may take a few days before the refunded amount becomes visible in their account.
