Integrations with Booking.com and Airbnb using our booking system

When renting out through multiple platforms, preventing double bookings is essential. That is why RentAccent (a flexible booking system for rental businesses) now offers an expanded iCal integration. With this update, you can set up automatic two-way synchronization with external booking channels such as Booking.com, Airbnb, Micazu, and other platforms that support iCal. This ensures that the availability of your rental properties stays automatically up to date across all systems, without any manual work.
 

What is iCal synchronization and why is it important?

iCal technology allows booking systems to share availability data with each other. Many major rental platforms rely on this technology. Previously, RentAccent already supported iCal export, but now iCal import has also been added. This means you can not only send your availability to other platforms, but also receive booked periods from external providers. In other words: true two-way synchronization.

Import availability from external platforms

Do you want availability from platforms such as Booking.com to automatically appear in your RentAccent booking system? This can now easily be configured using the new iCal import feature.

How to set it up:

• Log in to your RentAccent account.
• Go to iCal Import (new menu section).
• Click the blue Add button in the top right.
• Enter the following: Name: for example “Booking.com – Apartment A”, Rental object: select the correct object in your system, iCal address: paste the link provided by the external platform

The exact location of the iCal link varies by provider, but it can usually be found in their help documentation or settings. From that moment on, all bookings entered on that platform will automatically synchronize with RentAccent.
 

Export availability to external platforms

Do you also want availability from RentAccent to appear on external platforms such as Airbnb or Micazu? In that case, you can use the existing iCal export function.

How it works:

• Go to Rental Objects in your RentAccent account.
• Find the relevant rental object.
• Click the small white button labeled ical next to the object.
• Copy the displayed link and paste it into the platform where you also list your rental.

Once you do this, your availability from RentAccent will automatically be shared with that platform as well.
