RentAccent has therefore introduced a new calendar view called Bookings. This view displays each reservation as a single booking, from its start date to its end date. You can see which bookings are scheduled at a glance, without splitting each reservation into its individual booked items.
This is particularly useful when a customer rents several bicycles at once, combines multiple rental items in one reservation, or when you primarily want to keep track of booking start and end dates.

How far in advance should customers be allowed to make a reservation? The answer varies considerably between rental businesses. A bike rental company may only want to accept bookings for the next six months, while a holiday home provider may allow guests to book up to a year ahead.
RentAccent now allows you to set a maximum advance booking period for all types of bookable items. Previously available only for accommodation rentals, this feature can now also be used for bicycles, boats, campervans, vehicles and other rental items.
For each bookable item, you can specify how many months, one year or two years in advance customers are allowed to book online. This gives you control over which future dates are made available for reservations.
Manual bookings remain flexible. As an administrator, you can enter reservations up to two years in advance through the Booking Manager, even when a shorter advance booking period has been configured for online customers.
Not every rental product is suitable for short bookings. You may want to require a minimum stay of two nights for a holiday home, a minimum rental period of three days for a campervan, or a specific minimum duration for another rental item.
RentAccent now allows you to set a minimum booking duration for each bookable item. Customers using the online booking module can then only make reservations that meet the configured minimum rental period.
This prevents customers from making bookings that do not comply with your rental conditions, reducing the need to manually adjust or reject reservations afterwards.
The minimum booking duration only applies to reservations made by customers through the online booking module. When entering a booking manually in the Booking Manager, you can override the minimum duration whenever necessary.
Many rental businesses offer additional products or services alongside their main rental items. Examples include helmets or child seats for bike rentals, additional equipment for boat rentals, or optional services for holiday accommodation.
RentAccent now makes it possible to display optional extras as preselected in the online booking module. You can configure which additional options are selected by default for each bookable item.
During the booking process, customers can see which extras have been selected and any associated charges. They can deselect these extras if they do not wish to include them.
This feature gives rental businesses greater flexibility to tailor the online booking module to their offerings and make frequently chosen additional products and services more visible to customers.
For rental businesses serving international customers, allowing guests to make reservations in their own language can make the booking experience more convenient. This applies not only to selecting rental products and dates, but also to receiving clear booking information. RentAccent now supports Spanish in its online booking module, allowing Spanish-speaking customers to complete the entire booking process in their own language. Automatic booking confirmations and other emails sent by RentAccent are also available in Spanish when a customer uses this language.
This makes RentAccent suitable for rental businesses operating in Spain or other Spanish-speaking markets, as well as businesses that welcome international tourists.
Rental operators are responsible for entering Spanish translations of their own bookable items, extras, product names and descriptions in the Booking Manager. This ensures that information specific to their rental offerings can also be displayed correctly in Spanish.
