The information customers enter in these custom fields can now also be displayed as separate columns in the booking list. This gives you direct access to important information without having to open each booking individually.
In addition to information from custom booking fields, the booking status can now also be displayed as a column in the booking list. This allows you to immediately see which bookings are still open, have started or have been completed.

Rental businesses that offer their products or accommodation through multiple websites or booking platforms often use an iCal connection. This allows bookings and availability to be exchanged between different systems.
iCal is a widely used standard, but in practice booking platforms do not all handle iCal calendars in the same way. Some providers only share reservations made through their own platform. Others also include blocks or bookings that originally came from a connected external calendar.
When a rental business connects multiple booking systems or booking platforms, reservations can be exchanged through different routes.
For example, a block sent from RentAccent to an external platform may be passed back through another connected calendar. As a result, the same period can eventually reach a booking system through multiple routes.
This is an important consideration when centrally managing availability across multiple booking channels.
To make working with different external providers easier, we are further improving the way RentAccent processes iCal connections.
A first adjustment has already been implemented. Overbookings received via iCal are no longer reported separately at the top of the booking screen. The affected periods remain visible in the calendar.
We are also working on a more advanced and flexible setup for iCal connections. This will allow RentAccent to better accommodate the different ways in which external providers exchange reservations and blocks via iCal.
For rental businesses that receive reservations through both their own website and external providers, it is important to manage availability centrally.
