
For rental businesses that work with time slots, it was previously not possible to accept new bookings once the rental period had already begun. This often resulted in missed revenue, especially from customers who wanted to rent something spontaneously or at the last minute. From now on, RentAccent supports rentals within an ongoing time slot. For example: the morning period has passed, but a customer still wants to rent a bicycle for the afternoon. You no longer have to turn them away. The booking system now allows the remaining time of that day to be booked. This change makes it possible to respond more flexibly to customer demand and ensures that the occupancy of your rental items is used to its full potential.
Example: A customer wants to rent a bicycle this afternoon, even though the morning period has already passed. No problem anymore – you can start a rental for the remainder of the day even after the original start time.
A frequently requested feature was the ability to manage inventory for optional extras – such as child seats, trailers, or accessories. After all, having 30 bicycles available does not necessarily mean you can rent out 30 child seats if you only have two in stock. With this update to our booking system, you can now assign inventory limits to extras. The extra is added as a non-standalone item and then linked to a main rental object (for example a bicycle or scooter). The booking system will automatically ensure that no more extras can be reserved than you actually have in stock. The result: less miscommunication, fewer manual corrections, and a more professional customer experience.
Example: You have 20 boats but only 5 waterproof storage barrels. RentAccent automatically ensures that no more than 5 barrels can be rented out at the same time.
Many rental businesses want to inform customers in advance about matters such as deposit conditions, pickup times, or specific instructions. Previously, this had to be done through separate communication, but RentAccent now allows you to place a custom message above the booking module. This additional line of text appears before the actual booking process begins. As a result, you can clearly communicate important information upfront, reducing questions afterward and providing greater clarity for your customers.

After logging in, you will find this option under the ‘Booking Module’ tab. The text can be entered freely and is fully customizable.
